Migration and the 'white working class'

Breakfast seminar in Westminster.  A new book: "What does migration mean for the ‘white working class’ in the UK?” by Ben Rogaly, Sussex University and Becky Taylor, Birkbeck, University of London.

Good to see Ben Rogaly, who helped us develop ideas behind I PACKED THIS MYSELF and Let's Talk.

Some pretty hostile questioning afterwards: Mary Dejevsky of the Independent questioning the suggestion that the media deliberately fuelled 'anti migrant' stories.

Comments on the speakers' blog for the Migrant’s Rights Network – “The ‘white working class’ and ‘migrants’: moving beyond myth busting” - reflect some of the ideas voiced this morning.
